My domains are Human Resources Management and Public Health.

I received a call from HR in mid November.

Hi folks!

Congrats everyone on the email we received from EU!

Reading the comments of the people who were shortlisted in the past rounds of the Traineeship (University graduates) at the EU, it seems that no one receives the email with written that you are in the "reserve list" (is anyone in this situation?). In other terms, all candidates (the selected and those in the reserve list) receive the email with written "shortlisted".

In addition, I could read that some of the shortlisted guys did not receive an offer at the end. Has anyone of you already received a formal offer after sending the requested documents?

I was also wondering whether more than a single candidate may receive a final offer from the same unit. (Even if during the interview I remember my interviewer telling me that 5 candidates are called by the unit, 1 will be selected and 4 will end in the reserve list).

If you have any further information from friends/relatives etc who took part in the traineeship in the last months/year, please let us know!

Fingers crossed everyone! and Marry Christmas!

Hi guys,
Did all of you received a call from EP? Just wondering if all who have been shortlisted had an interview, because I didn't receive any call.
If yes, did they called you from one of the unit where you have been preselected or from HR? Could you please share your experience? Do you think if they could call after we sent all documents? Thanks in advance.

I didn't get a call. Some units don't call candidates.

Hello to all!

After you had sent the supporting documents, did you receive an automated confirmation email?

I haven't received anything, so I am just wondering.

Hey, same here. Just received the email about being shortlisted, sent the docs right away and didn‘t receive any answer. I think this is common practice.

Regarding the phone interviews, a colleague of mine, former EP intern, was contacted a few days before receiving the email with the shortlisted notice.

The same, no confirmation even if I asked Smile
Hope the next letter will be a confirmation with an offer for everyone who are here.
Fingers crossed.
Anyway until 3rd of January they won't be at work so more waiting time for all of us...

Hey,

I think only certain units call their potential candidates. In addition, there is written that phone interviews are not binding.

I sent the documents one week ago and I have not received any confirmation from them either.

I have a question, there is someone who has a BA and a MSc, or a BA+MSc+Msc? In this case, how did you name the documents? (i.e. Surname - Name - Traineeship for university graduates - Diploma (1); (..) (2); (..) (3).

I also sent a certified English translation of my university certificates. Do you think it is fine, or they want the official one from our country? Anyone in the same situation?

Thanks!

I sent both my diplomas in a file (Surname - Name - Traineeship for university graduates - Diploma)
I don't think it is so important as long as the right documents are there.

I read somewhere (correct me if I am wrong) that documents in all the official languages of the EU are accepted.

Concerning a diploma, I sent all the documents in 1 pdf file including bachelor diploma with transcription of notes and official translation and a certificate that I'm a student of my final year of a master degree.
This document i saved as they asked : PEREZ Manuel - Traineeship for university graduates - Diploma

I sent a translation of my diploma and all documents.

We shouldn't worry Smile : here's the answer from the FAQ on the EP website: "Do I need to send my supporting documents when applying? Will they need to be translated / certified? No. Only if you are selected or placed on a reserve list, will you be asked to send by email simple scanned copies of your diploma, your identity card or passport, and proof of your journalist education or experience (for journalism domains only), along with a copy of your signed application. They can be in any official EU language. "

Hey just noticed your username. I'm Irish too and I was wondering how you were dealing with the criminal record request? Citizens Information says police certificates cannot be issues for employment purposes :S

No I was just making sure I sent it to the right one because I saw in another forum a girl was questioning whether there was a typo in the email because of the way recruit is spelled recrut but I think that's just how it is.

That's probably from the French version of the word "recrutement" ;-)

I also checked this e-mail address in google before sending my documents. Actually that how I found this forum I love you
Definitely @Luluu it's a French word "recrutement"

I'm in the exact same position and have no idea what to do about this. We seem to be the only country that doesn't issue this kind of document as a matter of course.

Happy new year everyone!

How everyone is doing? Any updates? Have some of you got the offers today?

I have an offer for a job position in Lithuania, my home country, which is related to my study field and offers a good salary (by Lithuanian standards anyway). I have to decide by 12th of January if I accept this offer. It is still more than a week to decide though and I am waiting for the answer from the European Parliament. Not sure which offer I would actually accept if I will get an offer from EP as well.

Anyways good look everyone and keep us updated!

PostSubject: Reserve vs selected    Wed Jan 03, 2018 6:14 pm

Hi all!
I was shortlisted too. Nevertheless, it looks like there will be more people that will be turned down as oppose to getting the offer. The chances are 1/5, reserve list vs selected, respectively. And from what I’ve read and heard it looks that the ones that received a phone call in November have been already selected.

Anyways, good luck to everyone :-)
