First time I don't remember any more exactly, second & third: yes, the same DGs but I changed their order.

Is there any1 who does NOT know French & German, and got selected?
I am just curious if whether I should attempt any more applications not speaking any of the above mentioned, or not.

Guess I got the role of Jack Nicholson after all (even though I couldn't sleep that DEEP Laughing ), but congrats to the selected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello all,

I am just wondering if I state something in the application and send a letter to prove it but the EC office finds it invalid - would I be rejected immediately or they would not count the points for that and just disregard it?

thank you Smile

hey tiana_suk,

I think you are immediately eliminated Sad

If you look more carefully they say it somewhere during the application process

Hey folks! Do any of you know how the working schedule will be? Is it something like 8 hours per day Monday to Friday or does it change according to the DG? Can I find the information online on the general website? Or shall I write to my personal advisor for this? Actually, I received some other interesting stage offers and I was considering whether it will be possible to do some little job on the side...
Thank you!

Anna

Basically the working hours at the Commission are 8.45-17.30, on Monday you start at 9.00 and on Friday you finish earlier (16.30 or 17).
You work 37,5 hours a week

Oooops I made a typing mistake (already corrected it) - we work until 17.30 or later. 8.45-17.30 are the typical working hours, with something like 1h lunch break. But it all depends on your unit, your DG - there are some core hours and then sometimes you can choose whether you prefer to come earlier and leave the office earlier, or come late and leave in the evening.

hm I sent them like 6 email, I got one response in December that the results are delayed til mid-January. Recently, I've sent them about 3 emails and didn't get any answer...I think it's strange especially if the traineeship is suppose to start in March.

Hi ola_jag,

in your case I would really call them! Soon!

And keep checking your spam folder as well, because at least all the mails to me from the Traineeship Office land there. Changing the parameters of my email account hasn't helped...

Good luck!

hi!I wrote them tooo and finally got the answer
Dear applicant,

For budgetary and administrative reasons the selection of paid traineeships for people with a disability has been very delayed. The final selection list will be established at the end of next week, and you will be informed about the outcome during the second week of February. All applicants will be informed about the result.

Due to this delay the traineeship will start on 1 April and not as foreseen on 1 March.

The European Parliament apologizes for this inconvenience.

Best regards,
Karen Jeppesen
Traineeships Office

Hope i will be accepted as I was made redundant today

The time is passing so quickly and I am getting a bit worried about accommodation because I still don't have anything real. So I would like to ask about your experience and I hope you are luckier than me Smile

I got the reply that I was selected on 20 December - general option.

Have you checked the SPAM folder? If you have and found nothing, then you should e-mail them or call them about it.
