I'm not quite sure but I think that I read somewhere that within a time frame of 6 months after completion of the traineeship at the EU commission it is impossible to get a job there...!?
Is this correct? Does anybody of you know?
I have got the possibility to work at a big German foundation as a trainee and there I have the possibility to get a job afterwards. If it's impossible to stay at the Commission after the traineeship, if there is indeed no chance, I would think twice if I would go to Brussels, although the traineeship alone would be a great experience!
Perhaps anybody of you knows an answer to my question, thank you!!

@koelnerjung: I think your confusing it with something else. If you haven't until now, I advice you to read the RULES of the traineeship:

*hint.1: read 1.1.1. Aims > second part > second and third points;

Thank you X! I think I have already read the rules of the traineeship a few months ago, so I didn't remember that and obviously I have mixed it up with something else.
So, there is no formal obstacle of getting a job at the Commission afterwards. If it's very likely is another question...

Yeah, you cannot apply for the job if you're interning for the UN

It used to be like that for many years until couple of years ago, but still many ppl who did their traineeships some time ago don't know about the change so unintentionally they might give you wrong information.
