NON-EU applicants

on Thu Jan 12, 2012 8:15 pm
Hello everyone!

I was talking to some friends and reading the statistics - so I am trying to understand one question: do they take "non-eu trainees"? (especially from eastern Europe?)

I am not sure if it is even possible. Do you know anybody from the eastern Europe who was accepted and to which DG?

Thanks for all your answers!

Yes, they take applicants from Eastern Europe... just not for Enlargement, if your country is in joining process... or wants to join.

I think we all go to the same group (all non-eu) and our chances are mathematically slim - about 1 against 30 due to previous period statistics....

ok!
but do you mean 1 to 30 before the pre-selection?
what happens and what do you think our chances are if we will get pre-selected?

i think it's more like 1 to 4 or 5 after the preselection, because statistics on the EC traineeship page are reffered to the period before the preselection, in other words, it just says how many people applied in general.
